The issue can result in an NP reset, causing traffic loss on the affected line card while it recovers. Under repeated reset conditions, the network processor may enter a persistent shutdown state, in which case an explicit line card reload may be required to restore traffic.\r\nThe vulnerability is within the IPv4 packet-processing path. Transit IPv4 traffic does not trigger this issue and IPv6 traffic cannot trigger it.","published":"2026-10-21T17:19:09.000Z","lastModified":"2026-10-22T14:17:50.000Z","status":"Awaiting Analysis","sourceIdentifier":"psirt@cisco.com","cvss":{"version":"3.1","score":7.5,"severity":"HIGH","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H"},"cwe":["CWE-20"],"affected":[],"epss":{"score":0.00468,"percentile":0.40339,"date":"2026-10-27","history":[{"date":"2026-10-22","score":0.00342,"percentile":0.26462}]},"kev":{"listed":false},"exploits":{"count":0,"verified":false,"firstPublished":null,"source":"Exploit-DB (https://gitlab.com/exploit-database/exploitdb)","entries":[]},"verdict":{"level":"high","text":"High impact if exploited, but EPSS currently rates exploitation as unlikely (0.47%).
