Break if fewer than sizeof(*pIE) bytes remain (can't read header).\n  2. Break if the IE's declared data extends past len.\n\nAlso replace i += (pIE->length + 2) with i += sizeof(*pIE) + pIE->length\nfor consistency with the sizeof(*pIE) guards added above.","published":"2026-07-25T10:17:29.000Z","lastModified":"2026-10-19T21:17:39.000Z","status":"Modified","sourceIdentifier":"416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67","cvss":{"version":"3.1","score":8.1,"severity":"HIGH","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:A/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H"},"cwe":["CWE-125"],"affected":["linux/linux kernel"],"epss":{"score":0.0028,"percentile":0.20347,"date":"2026-10-26","history":[]},"kev":{"listed":false},"exploits":{"count":0,"verified":false,"firstPublished":null,"source":"Exploit-DB (https://gitlab.com/exploit-database/exploitdb)","entries":[]},"verdict":{"level":"high","text":"High impact if exploited, but EPSS currently rates exploitation as unlikely (0.28%).
