The parameter value is copied into a fixed-size 0xa4-byte stack buffer without bounds checking, overwriting the saved link register. The binary is compiled without stack canaries.","published":"2026-06-02T16:16:37.000Z","lastModified":"2026-07-22T19:10:00.000Z","status":"Modified","sourceIdentifier":"cve@mitre.org","cvss":{"version":"3.1","score":6.3,"severity":"MEDIUM","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L"},"cwe":["CWE-121"],"affected":["vivotek/fd8136 firmware"],"epss":{"score":0.00322,"percentile":0.25087,"date":"2026-10-27","history":[]},"kev":{"listed":false},"exploits":{"count":0,"verified":false,"firstPublished":null,"source":"Exploit-DB (https://gitlab.com/exploit-database/exploitdb)","entries":[]},"verdict":{"level":"low","text":"Lower severity and a low EPSS score (0.32%).
