Prior to 7.0.0, the ha-mcp OAuth consent form renders user-controlled parameters via Python f-strings with no HTML escaping. An attacker who can reach the OAuth endpoint and convince the server operator to follow a crafted authorization URL could execute JavaScript in the operator's browser. This affects only users running the beta OAuth mode (ha-mcp-oauth), which is not part of the standard setup and requires explicit configuration. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.0.0.","published":"2026-03-11T21:16:17.000Z","lastModified":"2026-06-17T10:35:09.000Z","status":"Analyzed","sourceIdentifier":"security-advisories@github.com","cvss":{"version":"3.1","score":4.7,"severity":"MEDIUM","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N"},"cwe":["CWE-79"],"affected":["homeassistant-ai/home assistant mcp server"],"epss":{"score":0.00188,"percentile":0.08301,"date":"2026-10-26","history":[]},"kev":{"listed":false},"exploits":{"count":0,"verified":false,"firstPublished":null,"source":"Exploit-DB (https://gitlab.com/exploit-database/exploitdb)","entries":[]},"verdict":{"level":"low","text":"Lower severity and a low EPSS score (0.19%).
