This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary files within the formgent uploads directory. Additionally, on Linux servers where the wp-content/uploads/formgent directory does not yet exist (the default state after plugin installation), the path traversal protection can be bypassed, enabling deletion of arbitrary files including wp-config.php which can lead to complete site takeover via a fresh WordPress installation.","published":"2026-08-01T06:16:26.000Z","lastModified":"2026-08-12T21:00:37.000Z","status":"Deferred","sourceIdentifier":"security@wordfence.com","cvss":{"version":"3.1","score":9.1,"severity":"CRITICAL","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H"},"cwe":["CWE-862"],"affected":[],"epss":{"score":0.00902,"percentile":0.5949,"date":"2026-10-26","history":[]},"kev":{"listed":false},"exploits":{"count":0,"verified":false,"firstPublished":null,"source":"Exploit-DB (https://gitlab.com/exploit-database/exploitdb)","entries":[]},"verdict":{"level":"high","text":"High impact if exploited, but EPSS currently rates exploitation as unlikely (0.90%).
