Prior to version 8.0.0, the DICOM viewer state API (e.g. upload or state save/load) accepts a document ID (`doc_id`) without verifying that the document belongs to the current user’s authorized patient or encounter. An authenticated user can read or modify DICOM viewer state (e.g. annotations, view settings) for any document by enumerating document IDs. Version 8.0.0 fixes the issue.","published":"2026-02-25T19:43:23.000Z","lastModified":"2026-06-17T10:25:26.000Z","status":"Analyzed","sourceIdentifier":"security-advisories@github.com","cvss":{"version":"3.1","score":7.1,"severity":"HIGH","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N"},"cwe":["CWE-639"],"affected":["open-emr/openemr"],"epss":{"score":0.00237,"percentile":0.14674,"date":"2026-10-27","history":[]},"kev":{"listed":false},"exploits":{"count":0,"verified":false,"firstPublished":null,"source":"Exploit-DB (https://gitlab.com/exploit-database/exploitdb)","entries":[]},"verdict":{"level":"high","text":"High impact if exploited, but EPSS currently rates exploitation as unlikely (0.24%).
