An attacker with access to the pgAdmin web interface can observe an active restore operation, extract the `\\restrict` key in real time, and race the restore process by overwriting the restore script with a payload that re-enables meta-commands using `\\unrestrict <key>`. This results in reliable command execution on the pgAdmin host during the restore operation.","published":"2026-02-05T18:16:11.000Z","lastModified":"2026-06-17T10:16:22.000Z","status":"Modified","sourceIdentifier":"f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007","cvss":{"version":"3.1","score":6.3,"severity":"MEDIUM","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L"},"cwe":["CWE-284"],"affected":["pgadmin/pgadmin 4"],"epss":{"score":0.00445,"percentile":0.38541,"date":"2026-10-27","history":[]},"kev":{"listed":false},"exploits":{"count":0,"verified":false,"firstPublished":null,"source":"Exploit-DB (https://gitlab.com/exploit-database/exploitdb)","entries":[]},"verdict":{"level":"low","text":"Lower severity and a low EPSS score (0.45%).
