This allows such users to inject arbitrary newline-delimited Apache directives into the root .htaccess file. On Apache servers that honour PHP directives, the injection can be chained with the user's own media upload (a polyglot image carrying a PHP payload) and an auto_prepend_file directive to achieve Remote Code Execution.","published":"2026-09-02T15:17:37.000Z","lastModified":"2026-09-03T17:50:38.000Z","status":"Deferred","sourceIdentifier":"contact@wpscan.com","cvss":{"version":"3.1","score":6.6,"severity":"MEDIUM","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H"},"cwe":["CWE-74"],"affected":[],"epss":{"score":0.00704,"percentile":0.5304,"date":"2026-10-26","history":[]},"kev":{"listed":false},"exploits":{"count":0,"verified":false,"firstPublished":null,"source":"Exploit-DB (https://gitlab.com/exploit-database/exploitdb)","entries":[]},"verdict":{"level":"low","text":"Lower severity and a low EPSS score (0.70%).
