A certificate containing `DNS:127.0.0.1` or `DNS:*.0.0.1` could therefore be accepted for an IP endpoint it was not issued for. This is a regression introduced after the fix for CVE-2026-48618.\n\nThis vulnerability affects Node.js **26.x** and **24.x**.","published":"2026-10-23T17:17:20.000Z","lastModified":"2026-10-23T19:42:25.000Z","status":"Awaiting Analysis","sourceIdentifier":"support@hackerone.com","cvss":{"version":"3.0","score":7.4,"severity":"HIGH","vector":"CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N"},"cwe":["CWE-295"],"affected":[],"epss":{"score":0.00275,"percentile":0.19848,"date":"2026-10-27","history":[{"date":"2026-10-24","score":0.00238,"percentile":0.14123}]},"kev":{"listed":false},"exploits":{"count":0,"verified":false,"firstPublished":null,"source":"Exploit-DB (https://gitlab.com/exploit-database/exploitdb)","entries":[]},"verdict":{"level":"high","text":"High impact if exploited, but EPSS currently rates exploitation as unlikely (0.27%).
