The vulnerability arises from the use of Python's `eval()` function to evaluate mathematical expressions within a Python sandbox that disables `__builtins__` and only allows functions from the `math` module. This sandbox can be bypassed by loading the `os` module using the `_frozen_importlib.BuiltinImporter` class, allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the server. The issue is fixed in version 9.10.","published":"2025-03-20T10:15:35.000Z","lastModified":"2026-06-17T08:19:07.000Z","status":"Deferred","sourceIdentifier":"security@huntr.dev","cvss":{"version":"3.0","score":8.4,"severity":"HIGH","vector":"CVSS:3.0/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H"},"cwe":["CWE-94"],"affected":[],"epss":{"score":0.0046,"percentile":0.39735,"date":"2026-10-27","history":[]},"kev":{"listed":false},"exploits":{"count":0,"verified":false,"firstPublished":null,"source":"Exploit-DB (https://gitlab.com/exploit-database/exploitdb)","entries":[]},"verdict":{"level":"high","text":"High impact if exploited, but EPSS currently rates exploitation as unlikely (0.46%).
