A specially crafted malformed file can trigger a heap overflow which can result in out of bounds memory access which could lead to information disclosure. This vulnerability could be used to bypass mitigations and aid further exploitation. To trigger this vulnerability, victim needs to access an attacker-provided malformed file.","published":"2020-12-02T18:15:12.000Z","lastModified":"2026-06-17T02:53:13.000Z","status":"Modified","sourceIdentifier":"talos-cna@cisco.com","cvss":{"version":"3.1","score":5.5,"severity":"MEDIUM","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N"},"cwe":["CWE-122","CWE-787"],"affected":["pixar/openusd"],"epss":{"score":0.01179,"percentile":0.67448,"date":"2026-10-26","history":[]},"kev":{"listed":false},"exploits":{"count":0,"verified":false,"firstPublished":null,"source":"Exploit-DB (https://gitlab.com/exploit-database/exploitdb)","entries":[]},"verdict":{"level":"low","text":"Lower severity and a low EPSS score (1.18%).
