An unauthorized user could exploit a buffer overflow vulnerability in the webserver. Specially crafted packets sent could cause a Denial-of-Service condition and if certain conditions are met, the affected devices must be restarted manually to fully recover. At the time of advisory publication no public exploitation of this security vulnerability was known.","published":"2019-12-12T19:15:15.000Z","lastModified":"2026-06-17T02:17:28.000Z","status":"Modified","sourceIdentifier":"productcert@siemens.com","cvss":{"version":"3.1","score":7.5,"severity":"HIGH","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H"},"cwe":["CWE-119"],"affected":["siemens/en100 ethernet module with firmware variant dnp3 tcp","siemens/en100 ethernet module with firmware variant iec 61850","siemens/en100 ethernet module with firmware variant iec104","siemens/en100 ethernet module with firmware variant modbus tcp","siemens/en100 ethernet module with firmware variant profinet io"],"epss":{"score":0.01949,"percentile":0.80114,"date":"2026-10-27","history":[]},"kev":{"listed":false},"exploits":{"count":0,"verified":false,"firstPublished":null,"source":"Exploit-DB (https://gitlab.com/exploit-database/exploitdb)","entries":[]},"verdict":{"level":"high","text":"High impact if exploited, but EPSS currently rates exploitation as unlikely (1.95%).
