The flaw lies in the way the safe browsing function parses HTTP requests. The server hostname is extracted from captured HTTP/HTTPS requests and inserted as part of a Lua statement without prior sanitization, which results in arbitrary Lua script execution in the kernel. An attacker could send an HTTP request to exploit this vulnerability.","published":"2019-10-31T21:15:12.000Z","lastModified":"2026-06-17T01:58:15.000Z","status":"Modified","sourceIdentifier":"talos-cna@cisco.com","cvss":{"version":"3.1","score":10,"severity":"CRITICAL","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H"},"cwe":["CWE-94"],"affected":["getcujo/smart firewall"],"epss":{"score":0.02669,"percentile":0.85671,"date":"2026-10-27","history":[]},"kev":{"listed":false},"exploits":{"count":0,"verified":false,"firstPublished":null,"source":"Exploit-DB (https://gitlab.com/exploit-database/exploitdb)","entries":[]},"verdict":{"level":"high","text":"High impact if exploited, but EPSS currently rates exploitation as unlikely (2.67%).
